Websites

West Michigan Ballers

An old buddy of mine was looking to get serious about documenting the West Michigan basketball scene, but he needed a reliable website to tell his stories.

Nylen Cancer Center

In partnership with ChatterKick, a chic marketing firm based in Iowa, I built a new site for the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. The focus was on creating a more visually appealing, inviting, and informative website. With the help of a striking Squarespace template and some teamwork, I was able to make the site.

Peditrac

A tool on the cutting edge of infant and toddler development. Peditrac is a comprehensive tool to better understand developmental growth in children. Making a site that can showcase the best parts of the tool was a must.

CLI Concrete Leveling

One of the premier concrete levelers in southeast Michigan. Their old site, however, needed a facelift. I created a Squarespace website for them, giving the company a mobile responsive site that allowed potential customers to reach out easier, find their services, and actually see the before and after work that they are capable of - honestly, who knew you could raise concrete at a fraction of the cost of replacing it.

Website Build Process

01 — We Chat

You tell me about your business, goals, and web presence needs. I want to really understand what you want so that we are both happy by the end of this process. This step can be as easy as a phone call or as hands-on as a face-to-face meeting. I’ll ask for some basics, including; brand guidelines, logos, and other elements that must be included on your site. By the end of our meeting, I will provide you with my suggestion, and then as a team, we will decide on a platform that fits your business best.

OH!, and the best part is that this first step is free.

02 — I Design

Once we’ve had a chance to chat about ideas, layouts, and goals, I will get to work. I’ll design your unique website and ask for feedback. This is where the team effort part helps me bring your brand to life through copy, photos, and design.

Two of the biggest benefits during this stage are my knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and camera work. I will find the right keywords to use on your website to help search engines bring your company to the top of the search results. I will also take photos and videos of your business, service, and brand to help bring everything on your new site together.

03 — We Review

At this point, I have a solid mock-up of your website. We will meet up or zoom for a review and make edits or changes as necessary. Once you are pleased with the site, I will run through one final review to ensure all links, SEO, copy, photos, and flow all make sense.

04 — We Launch

The big day! Launch day is the best day. We make sure your domain is working properly, and your site is accessible to the public. Then you can release the message to the masses via social, email, and phone calls - this is so important. Let your customers know you have a new site! If you need guidance on best social practices, I can assist you there as well.

05 — I Upkeep

I want your site to succeed well past the launch date. So, before I let you go, we will chat about the best way to make sure that everything stays up to date. That could mean you are taking care of the site on your own after a brief tutorial on how to change and edit info, or it could mean that you keep me in your back pocket to make changes on a weekly, monthly, or even yearly basis. Whatever works best for you. At the end of the day, my goal is to help your local business out the best way I know how - making and managing websites.
